Sue, Kelly & Canela welcome you to Far Reaches Farm
Sue
used to own Kate Brook Nursery in Vermont which had an extraordinary collection of conifers, woody plants and alpines.

Kelly formerly had Reflective Gardens in Poulsbo, Washington, which offered an eclectic array of plants.

We donate $100.00 gift certificates annually to the Marine Science Center Auction "The Tides of March" at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, March 4, and the Jefferson Land Trust Auction in November as well as hosting a spring sale for the Land Trust where we donate 20% of the proceeds. This is a great chance to get exceptional plants (plus other cool stuff) and support superb organizations.

We are open most weekends during the growing season and have a retail area for both sun and shade plants.  Our display gardens are available to view.  We also do limited wholesaling to nurseries and landscapers and inquires from the trade are welcome. Many of our plants are especially suited to those nurseries offering mail order as they tend to be fairly obscure and appeal to the collectors. We would encourage you to check out Rosedale Gardens on Burnham Drive in Gig Harbor. Tim the manager there has a good head for plants and you will find many of our plants there. Conversely you will find quite a few of Tim's plants here in our gardens.

We have an established 130' sunny display border as well as a shade garden which is currently being expanded.  Our shade garden has been described as a  "redefining what you can do in shade" and really is a glory in the spring.  An additional sunny garden is being developed as well as a bog garden.   We have quite a few garden clubs and groups tour the nursery and gardens and all seem to enjoy themselves thoroughly.

Port Townsend is one heck of a destination for a weekend. Don't move here, there are enough people here already. Fabulous restaurants, great lodging, art, music, scenery and intriguing shops.  William James Bookstore is in a league of its own for second-hand books. Best burger and House Salad in town is at Sirens Pub.  The Farmer's Market in Uptown on Sat morning and Wed from 3-6:30 is phenomenal.  If you want a getaway, come to PT and visit the nursery. Remember the town motto: "We're all here because we're not all there."
